8 Jobs That Pay You To Travel
How cool would that be? Getting paid to travel. You can totally do it. Here are 8 jobs that pay you to travel the world!
#1.) Travel Blogger
That’s what this site is, a travel blog! Here’s how it works: travel blogs write about travel. They might feature hotels, resorts, attractions, airlines, etc. These companies will profit from being mentioned. They might get more views, more customers, more packages booked, etc. So, oftentimes travel bloggers get paid or free accommodations (or other arrangement) to blog. It’s a fun gig and can pay the bills! Interested in starting a blog? Check out this helpful guide on how to start a profitable blog (in any niche) in just 20 minutes.
#2.) Construction manager
You manage construction projects. This will put you just about anywhere, depending on the construction site. You’ll be in charge of staffing, making sure the project runs smoothly, vendors are paid, etc.
#3.) Destination photographer
You get paid to take photos of destinations. Cool! You can literally travel the world doing this. How to get started? Many photographer friends I have are self taught. One friend, in her first year as a photographer, got a gig to shoot a wedding in Costa Rica! This sounds like the dream job!
#4.) Cruise line worker
Get paid to work for a cruise line. Think about all the lavish destinations you would get to visit. Some perks include free food, room and board. Interested? Head to Cruise Ship Jobs to learn more.
#5.) Flight attendant
This one is a no brainer, right. Work as a flight attendant and get a chance to visit the world! Something I think about having pursued earlier in life. Another dream job for travel.
#6.) Peace Corps volunteer
I know a handful of people that have done this. A very rewarding experience to say the least, from what I hear. You’ll live on a modest budget making an impact on people’s lives. You get perks like student loan deferrment, housing, and health benefits.
#7.) Fashion buyer
You will be a retail buyer for a company. Buyers get to travel the world looking at the latest fashion firsthand. So in addition to getting paid to travel, you also get paid to shop? Yes, you do! In addition to selecting garments for purchase, you may work in other areas like negotiation and merchandising.
#8.) Personal shopper
Similar to #7 above, a personal shopper gets paid to shop (and travel). You can work for a company or work for yourself and there will be opportunity to travel the world in search of the best fashion for your company or client.
