8 Hacks to Save Big at Disney
We’re talking Disney savings today! If you’ve ever planned a vacation you know that every penny counts. You’ll learn some top tips on how to save big at Disney when you’re planning your next trip. Here we go!
1.) Plan Ahead
Yes, plan ahead! Take my word for it. This is a biggie. If you want to get the most savings, plan in advance. What are you planning?
- Trip dates: What time of year is most affordable?
- Park attractions: What’s open? What requires extra tickets or cash?
- Hotel stay: What’s included? What is the resort tax?
- Travel: Will you fly or drive?

2.) Choose your accommodations wisely
You can save a lot of money booking an AirBNB home or vacation home. Renting a home will give you more space than a hotel room. That means everyone can have their own room plus kitchen, multiple bathrooms, sometimes even a pool! Try this trick: Wait until kind of the last minute (a few weeks out) to get good deals. Last minute cancellations can cause owners to lower rates to fill spots.
3.) Prepare your own meals
Can you imagine how much you would save if you make all or a portion of your food? Huge! Eating resort meals, room service and park meals adds up and can get expensive real quick! Pack a cooler and fill it with sandwich supplies, drinks, and snacks. If you rent a home, stop at a local grocery store and pick up meat, veggies, and all your families favorites so you can cook at home.
4.) Use a travel agent
Many travel agents are paid through Disney so it can be free to use their services. It’s a great way to save money and many agents even have payment plans!

6.) Plan a free day
This can be so much fun. This means you have the whole day to do free things like swimming in your hotel’s pool, watching movies in, go on a free tour, etc.
7.) Skip souveneirs
Instead, take tons of photos, which is much more memorable than souveneirs anyway. Must have souveneirs? Check out these free or cheap ideas:
